Moon Landing Movie in the Park

Saturday, July 20, 2019 - 8:00pm to 10:30pm
610 E. San Augustine

In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the moon landing and Houston’s historic role in the event, we invite you to celebrate with City of Deer Park Tourism and the Parks and Recreation Department for our FREE Moon Landing Movie in the Park! Don’t forget to visit with the Deer Park Public Library to learn more about their Summer Reading Program and check out their giveaways! Additionally, the Deer Park Animal Shelter and Adoption Center will be present with adoptable pets. Orbit on over and say hello before the movie starts!

We’ll play a special message from the International Space Station, a documentary recounting the historic moon landing and Houston’s role in the event, and a screening of "Unsung Heroes"!

The Deer Park Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association will provide concessions for purchase, so make sure you arrive early to grab your snacks.

Although you won’t need a telescope to see what’s going on in space, we encourage you to bring a lawn chair or blanket to fully enjoy the view.

The screening will start at dusk, which will be around 8:20PM, at Dow Park.
